Dear Friends and Family:

I hope that God is doing as many wonderful things in your life as He is in mine. God has been working in my life, and I am feeling God’s will to do more for the world around me. As most of you know our family has gone through a major life transition. After twenty-five years of serving in the pastorate, my dad is now training to be the next director of EMU International, a 70-year-old mission board headquartered in Taylors, SC. I am excited about this new ministry because God has always given me a burden for missions. My brother and my sisters have all had the privilege of traveling with my dad on mission trips, but my mom and I never have. I am really excited about the opportunity that my mom and I have of traveling with my dad and with Ken and Joan Jensen to Uruguay to work with EMU’s mission in Uruguay.

EMU International began as the Evangelical Mission to Uruguay in 1946. EMU now stands for Evangelical Mission to the Unreached and serves in ten different countries, but a major focus of the mission continues in Uruguay. One of the main focuses of the mission is the training of national missionaries. EMU sponsors a national Bible Institute and also is partnering with several other fundamental mission boards in Uruguay’s first fundamental Bible college in the capital city of Montevideo. The mission focuses on outreach through mass evangelism, radio and film ministry, open-air meetings in markets and plazas, prison evangelism, child evangelism, house-to-house visitation, tract distribution, hospital ministry, and camp ministry. There are currently eleven churches in Uruguay that are pastored by EMU national missionaries. We will have the privilege of working in several of these missionary opportunities, but our main focus will be on camp ministry at Campamento Emanuel.

On February 20 – 23, my dad will be speaking at the Workers’ Conference. This will be an exciting time where we will get to know the missionary families who are currently serving under EMU in Uruguay. The following week, he will also be speaking at Family Camp, February 27 – March 4. During each of these camps, I will be helping in the kitchen and also helping minister to the children.

While God has opened up a door for me to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this mission in several ways.

First, you can help pray for my parents and me. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Uruguay. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. At this time I am hoping to raise $2,000 to help cover expenses for this trip, and that is quite a challenge!

Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support. Would you consider supporting me with a donation? This is a huge step of faith for our family.  You can give online by clicking on the donate button below. Be sure to list Hannah Davis” under the “Purpose” field. You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your gift.Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is appreciated.

I look forward to doing God’s work in Uruguay and letting you know all about how God has worked through this team when I return in March.

God bless!
Hannah Davis
